In 2019, lingkaran—the learning ecosystem from which LAB Foundation was born—was selected as one of eight ventures from around the world to join the Investment Ready Program (IRP) by Allianz and Impact Hub Munich. Representing Indonesia, we joined fellow changemakers from Germany, Spain, and Greece who were building solutions for the next generation.
The program focused on one big question:
How can we grow sustainable, inclusive ventures that support children and youth to thrive in uncertain futures?
Over several months, the IRP became a space of deep reflection and acceleration. Through mentorship, strategic coaching, business model refinement, and a full-week academy in Munich, we revisited our foundations—our vision, our model, and our long-term plan for regenerative change.
More than just training, the program reminded us of something important:
Impact isn’t always about scaling fast. Sometimes, it’s about scaling deep—rooting ourselves in the communities we serve, and letting growth come from shared trust and co-ownership.
During the final Pitching Week in Munich, we stood on stage not just to present a business, but to tell a story—of how young changemakers in Indonesia, when supported with the right tools and community, can become the seed of long-term transformation. We didn’t win the award. But we came home with something just as valuable:
This experience became one of the stepping stones toward what LAB Foundation is today. We continue to grow change from within—community by community, story by story.
